In Uni at the minute we are putting together a publication to include 17 creative people and companies around Belfast. My Group has been given Rob Durston, He is a local photographer who has done lots of work for companies round Belfast including Av Browne. I love his work, he can create different moods through his photos. When speaking to him i was able to learn a lot more about the creative industry. I will add more posts as project goes on.

I was asked to come up with poster to advertise mmwah to people 18+ at clubs, it is a test tube drink so tried making the poster lively and energetic as if this liveliness was trapped within the drink.

I had to create a A6 leaflet for a plasterer i took photo of an unplastered wall and created a brush in photoshop to give this impression of a wall being plastered.

A Flyer i Made for Christian Endeavor, I have done work for them before so I just kept the same format I had set up for them.

Farrow design

Farrow have designed the new packaging for Spiritualized and their re-issue of the classic album ‘Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space’. To be released on 16th November 2009. I personally would buy this cd just for the packaging. I love the clean crisp futuristic look, its something that when you would buy it you would be aesthetically pleased instantly.

For years Coke have been adding more and more elements to there packaging, this had started to make the brand cluttered. Here in Turner Duckworths Design he has stripped the Brand down to basics, taking away all the unnecessary water droplets and shading and sold it by saying that people know coke for what it is, and that there was no need for this over design. I think his designs are brilliant the simplicity was needed in a day and age where consumerism has lead advertising to come somewhat tacky to some big companies. Here i don’t think the biggest problem would have been getting ideas for design but Turner Duck worth, had the challenge of trying to persuade a massive client like coke to go with an idea like this, reading through some articles it seemed like a massive ordeal.

A poster i created at AV Browne, They gave me a Brief from internet to create a poster for a band, and representing them. I chose stiff little fingers and thiers song 72 Revolutions per Minute. so looked at some info graphics and created this to represent 72 rpm
